I am wondering if anyone can tell me if a 4.6L 5sp out of a 1996 Mustang will bolt into a 1967 Cougar. I know the 1993 5.0L and trans will bolt over with a new transmission mount, but I am not sure if the 4.6 has the same motor mounts.

Thanks
Darrell

I don't believe the motor mounts are the same, and to boot, the 4.6L is a huge engine. Think 390 in terms of size. You won't have any room to work on it, and it's a pretty turdy engine to begin with, which brings up the next obvious question.... why?
