starter parts??

I need to rebuild the solenoid on a 98 rodeo V-6. The contacts are pitted but the starter is fine. A local dealer told me they do not offer a rebuild kit. Anyone else rebuilt one? If so, where did you get the parts? thanks

SpecialEd (great name!), your best bet it to find a shop that rebuilds motors/starters/alternators. I'm sure they can cross-referrance a solenoid for this starter & supply you with one. Most of these shops will do a starter rebuild pretty cheap as well. I think some isuzu owners on the 4x4wire site had luck getting & replacing the starter soleniod. G/luck
