My car is 10 years old so it has the typical exterior deterioration. There are a bunch of dings and dents, paint chips, scratches, and lack of luster. I really want it to look great again so I wanted to get this fixed. I'm just wondering what my options are. As for ding and dent removal what does that typically go for? As for the paint what can be done besides a new paint job? How much can buffing really do? Touch up paint just isn't going to be enough to make it look good. Price is an issue but I'm willing to spend a lot, I just need the cheapest method.

If the dents are not creased, in a body line, or paint cracked then a paintless dent repair company could take care of it. As far as price goes, how many dings do you have?

Depending on your paint condition high speed polishing can do wonderful things in the right hands or really fuck something up in the wrong hands. High speed polishing is good for heavy oxidation, light/med. scratches, as long as you cant catch a finger nail on the scratch then a buffing can remove them. You could also wet sand, then buff with atleast a 4-step process, most likely more steps.
