I had just finished my Porsche Boxter and was looking in my closet for next model to build when the box of the Tamiya Porsche 959 fell out on me. I was like a call from the model - "Please, build me !". So I begin with her. I will add some extra details to engine and brakes for her. http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/836597959Engine2.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/116486959engine3.JPG http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/105871Drilledbrakediscs.JPG

And all this time I thought the 959 was a curbside kit.:bloated:

I have sprayed the last layer of clear to the body. Next is to polishing the body. I will do that after a couple of days when clearcoat has fully gased out.

Oh, I forgot to metion the interior. I have mixed Tamiya xf-27 and x-18 (1:1 ratio) to get the darkgreen witch could be seen in some German Porsches. The carpet may look odd, but I discovered that this is how it looks in darkgreen cockpits.

That looks really good indeed. I'm really impressed with the disc brakes, the pattern is nearly perfect! :bigthumb:

This is what I did with my 959 some years ago, a cutaway:
