The Long Awaited Airbrushing !

Just got finished tonight!
I'll probably get it back into the booth to have 3 more coats of clear done beginning of next week. And hopefully get my new muffler on.

its a good job and all, but it aint my flava, but as long as you like it right, congrats on the new paint.

It's hard to tell from the pics but the graphics are done in pearl, the colors are different in person.

But i love it and thats all that matters.
I'm doing something that no one else is going to copy.
Along with the Type R engine thats gunna go in, i could care less what people think. The joke will be on them when I'm running high 13's.. muuhaha

looks pretty cool, but i agree, looks like the mouldings are in the way and makes it look a lil slopier. woulda looked hella better with no body lines hehe. still looks cool tho

oh yea, also looks awesome how it looks like the flames are comin outta the Z3 fenders, and going into the part on ur skirt, looks tight that way, and how much were those skirts? i've always wanted a pair

I was going to shave the mouldings. But even if there was a piece welded in there they still would of had to use LOADS of bondo to make it look good. And i absolutly hate bondo so i said no.

now that i saw the cartoon pics head on and not at an angle... i must say, they look good!

i dont think you'll hit 13's with stock type r in there. 92 type R hatch was hitting low 14's with seats out. and by no means will you get low 12's:biggrin2: with a b20/typeRvtec. stock at least.

Anime looks much better with side view. Good job!

I'll post a couple way bigger pics after i'm off work. In these ones you can see the actual pearl in the colors, looks crazy.
It'll also look alot smoother once i get the final coats of clear on.

I'm going to be showing it quite alot, But i'm also going to be racing it too. Whats the point of having such a flashy car and have it slow as hell.

I like the flames, except I would extend them at the front so that they began just after the wheels, or where they came out of the fender sort of make the flames curve around more rather than just come straight down towards the skirt.

Nice paint job, only thing that looks weird or bad, is where the trim messes up the anime.

yea i noticed that too, the pearl looks sweet...i woulda gotten the characters done in vinyl but i guess you couldnt get the same pearl effect. Looking forward to seeing it in person haha...I need to get these door panels outta here asap :smile:

I'll hopefully have the motore dropped in as a winter project.
My goal is to be running low 13's on a fully built type r.
Once I hit that, then i'll have to get myslef a new project car :bigthumb:
