Question... Body Work..

Allright... I have a '97 Civic LX ... For you civic enthusiasts such as myself.. You should know thats the 4 door sedan with the extra large Bulging tail-lights... I have noticed on some civics at shows and "what-have-you" they've shaved the rear center license holder, and inner tails and made it flush with either Altezza Reverse Lights, or .. Skyline style tails made by APC I believe... I've mostly dipped my brain into mechanical aspects for so long.. I've managed to tackfully ignore all possibilities of body work... Now... I have painted several cars.. And D-Aed and wetsanded them ... Complete color changes... BUT.. I have no clue as of how to shave things... My logic tells me.. Take the plastic shit out.. Sand it.. weld metal in there.. and bondo the fuck out of it.. and then sand it down flush... NE one done this before? Maybe you can give me some pointers...

Bondo the fuck? No... you want as little bondo as possible. Mostly metal :bigthumb:

I am looking to do the same thing with the inner lights on the 94 Civic dx. I saw my brother do his on his 95 sonoma, when he shaved his door handles. He pulled the handles out, cut out steel plates, welded them in, and let the bodyshop do the bondo-ing and painting. If all else fails, take it to a body shop if you can't do it yourself, and let them finish it up. If i get mine done i'll send pics and details to let you know how it holds up.

Yah.. Just to clear it up.. I was lookin for details.. lol.. By "bondo the fuck" I meant.. Adhere it, and fill in gaps...

I like it man.. It'll look cool.. I dont personally like the tilted License ne more... But.. Definately dope..
