Got some new supplies today for my Peugeot 206 WRC that im going to order the soon from buy-model. I tried that compound out and it was amazing, puts my other stuff to shame. I had to guess what color grey to pick because I was only looking at pictures. I got TS-17 gloss aluminum but I forgot the Tamiya clear:banghead: Also got some of the famed microsol and some testors gloss black. How much is the tamiya compound and tamiya bottles at your hobby shops? I paid $2 for the bottles and $2.40 for the compound.

Cool score! Supplies are sometimes better than getting a kit!

Yeah, tell me about it. My shop just got a whole bunch of new kits and a bunch of Fujmi kits which they never usually have. I was so tempted to get a new kit, but I resisted becuase I wanted money for that Peugeot.

Good to hear some postive feedback about the compound.

That compound is probably the best, and most affordable for model cars. Don't use too much though, since a little bit on a clean cotton cloth goes a long way.
Sadly I can't get the stuff :( Even when I drive 100 miles to the big city I can't find it.

Sounds like people think highly of the Tamiya compound. I use a product my local shop reccomended to me, saying it was better than the Tamiya product, It's a plastic polish (made by bare metal foil), but it has directions for using it on model cars on the bottle. It's a liquid too, but I haven't had great success with it yet. I might buy some of the Tamiya stuff to compare.
