I just purchased a 1999 Silverado and the rear sliding window is leaking at a couple spots along the top.
How hard is this to fix? Is it possible to run a bead of silicone on the outside?

using a product called dow 795 this is a good sealer that has a large flex rate and is with great metal to glass adhesion. comes in many colors used by glass installers in the construction industry .. lasts a very long time... use soapy water on the smoothing tools to give a very smooth look.
could be the metal is rusted also ..

Thanks. I was looking at the window and the plastic frame is cracked. Looks like maybe that was a common issue with the slider.
