SDU meets

Hey just a question... I am thinking of joining SDU but not sure... is it worth it? Am i allowed to go to a meet and check it out before i join? If so... where and when is the next meet? :alien2:

I think everyone in the club has come along first and checked everyone out before they join, Its just one of the things you do ;)

We meet up at the Museum every Saturday night and usually have good turnouts although last couple of weeks have been a bit slack due to weather wise. But we are usually up there from 9pm onwards, just look out for the skylines. Also, if you keep an eye out on the Events section of this forum it will keep you posted on events coming up. Like a Treasure Hunt type day that the Supra Club have invited us to next Sunday. Its a shame you didnt know about our monthly meetings as we have one on the 2nd Tuesday of every month, which was last night at the horse and Trap, great opportunity for new members to come along and find out more info etc. If you come along on Sat night I am sure you will be most welcomed!

hehe well everyone was shy when they first had to be introduced, if you are that shy, just look out for a white R32, thats mine, ill introduce ya! :D

k will do... uhmm look out for a R32 gts-t silver... its got a 6" tip on the exhaust 17" rims... and GAB suspension (i think) in a red sticker on the lower sideskirts... and no [TWUBLE] isnt the liscence plate... well not yet anyway :smoka:

haha, I was just reading this trhead and in particular noticed Galraca's quote about meeting up at the museum and having good turnouts. It would change the whole context of the post to change the "T" into a "B" wouldn't it :-) Still that's not what we stand for, just a my sense of humour kicking in on a slow day at work.

I'm going to miss Saturday night's meet unfortunately, due to previous commitments. Don't worry TWUBLE, they're all a good bunch of people up there. Everyone is new at some stage man!, the initiation ceremony isn't too messy believe me :-) (just kidding dude) You're sure to fit right in. That event that debs mentioned (the treasure hunt event), a few of us are heading along to that, and we'll be completely new to them as well (The Supra club) so you might as well tag along with your car if your free to get to know some of us, check out an event and have a good day all up.

sweet thanks man... the more i talk to people from SDU the more I want to join! Everyone that ive encountered from there sounds real rad and real friendly so yeah..!

Yep, we welcome all members new and old, my ride is a silver r32 with a huge ugly batmobile veilside wing on it. So I am pretty easy to spot, I am always happy to meet new people, I was a really shy person when I first joined - still am actually.

I was too busy to make it to the last meet in town, but will be there this Saturday :)

yeah unfortunately the install of my sounds (which me and a mate wer doing) took alot longer than we expected and didnt fiish till 11pm so i was unable to make it... but i will try to make it this saturday :)

hmm...won't be there, as (a) I'm on call, and (b) bloody goddam Razor's making me get up at some ungodly hour on sunday, the dirty rotten bugger. :D

I think the meet this week wont be happening, cause its a party at my house!!! Darkness, I never had your email but you are more than welcome to come, you can grab the address from any of the others, there will be a Keg happening, and there will be a BBQ etc...on Sat night from 6.30pm onwards!! Raf, it would be good to see ya, if you can come it would be great!

I'll give it a go, for sure! :) It really depends on what calls I do or don't get in the evening. If I'm not working, then I'll be there. Otherwise, hope it's a great night. :D :coolguy: :D
