Rusting out under GT ground effects

I'm sure I am not the only one with this issue but maybe someone has a fix. The rocker panels behind the ground effects are rusting away and the plastic panels are coming loose.Didn't notice this until this really crappy winter. Has anyone found a fix for this, other than replacing the rocker panels?? Thanks guys for any help.

Unfortunately NO! Once the rust begins it must be removed and the metal replaced with new. Bondo or fiberglass really isn't an option unless the holes are small and easily patched. Good Luck!
