New to the board, just wanted to say hi. I own a 98 Avenger Sport auto. Just about to roll over to 100k miles. Still runs good.

The main thing I need to do is get it seriously cleaned. I don't know too much about cleaning and all that. I have several dings and some jackass decided to scratch my hood. My side window was busted, but I had it replace. But that jackass first tried to pry into it before breaking it which scratched the car up around the trim of the windo.. The carpet on the driverside has a hole in it from the floor mat moving up. There was suppose to be a pin in it to hold the mat in place. I don't even think it was there when I bought it. So if you have any suggestions to help me clean her up let me know.

Oh, forgot to mention - nice car. Mine is "paprika" kind of burgundy maroon color.

Yea that sucks about your car. I had a big scatch in the side door of mine when I got it but I buffed it out and touched it up and now it looks perfect. you need to try to buff out those scatches of take to someone who can. Most body shop and car paint places can do that.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to b/c I pretty sure I couldn't do it myself. I want to try and keep it as long as possible, even after I pay it off. I always liked the look of the car and as long as it keeps running - I'm good to go.

I've talked to people who have over 250,000 miles on the avenger's and they said that they love there cars. Look's good for us then.:bigthumb:

Wow - that's great! I didn't think they would last that long. I should probably keep her tuned up really well. Make her last as long as possible.

Hi Blondie, I had a '95 Avenger, and it had 140,000 miles on it, when I traded it in, I never had a problem with it, except normal maintenance.

Also, I would say, take it to a detailer, and let them clean it, they usually do a really good job. :bigthumb:

Car rolled over the 100k mark this past Thursday. Taking it to the shop this weekend for an oil change and a good look over to make sure everything looks good. I hoep I won't be spending too much on it. I'm gonna check with the dealer to see how much it would cost to get it cleaned up.

Thanks.

P.S. Does anyone get on here?

I own a 1995 Dodge Avenger with 186,000 and some change. Runs like a dream. I still get 25 mpg. It is an extremely fun car to drive and is very low maintenance. I just replaced to factory rear struts in it. That just amazes me that a car can go that long on factory struts. The front suspension is all original.
