help!

Hi all
ive just aquired a 1977 austin mini, originally 1275 but has been bored out to 1300. all body work and chassis rebuilt, needs paint job and interior doing. this project is to provide my son with his first car as he is mini mad. he wants the exterior stylin as in italian job, wants a bit more up to date interior, ie black cobra seats, roll cage and good looking dash.
As ive never done anything lirk this b4 has anyone got any pics or ideas of interiors to help or tell me where hte hell to start!! any advice would be appreciated. email john at [email protected]

very cool about getting the mini as your son's first car, but may I be the first to warn you to be very careful about giving it too much race styling... My parents didn't know that I was racing every weekend until 6 months after I started, because there was a huge accident and 7 people (all under age 22) were killed. I'm not saying that your son would, but I hear about way too many kids being hurt and/or killed in their cars that are really way too fast for a 16 year old.

Ta for concern, but i will leave that worry until we finally get the thing on the road. hes a sensible kid and knows if he takes the mick, the car will be taken off him as im paying for all this
