Well I havent done anything to it...yet. It's an '89 Black CRX Si 5 speed. I should have some pictures within a couple of days. I dont want to go ALL OUT on it but i just want it to look nice. I am planning to get a B&M short shifter, a 3A racing shift knob and boot, Ractive adjustable coilovers, Nitto tires with 17 inch Konig rated R white 17's, and probably an Apex'i N1 n/a muffler with no cat and mandrel bent piping all the way back.

this is just my opinion, but if you're not going to go "all out", then dont remove your cat. Its there for a reason, and if you are really looking for that couple extra horsepower, do some other engine mods.

How would you pass emissions without a cat?

yea and fuck a short shifter its not like our stocks throws are long anyways , i drove a camaro a while back stick and man was that different hella long and weird throw but anyway spend that 60 bucks or whatever on an intake bro.

Yea, your right, i better keep the cat on so I dont get pulled over by the cops, and what IS the point of a short shifter if I am not going to be racing.

depends ... if he wants a short ram then just cut out the bottom of the stock airbox and remove the resonator ... but if he wants a CAI then spend the money.

shifts felt long and slosly short shifter does nothing for performance its just a feel thing, and if you want it to be clean expect to clean it everyday if you get those white rims

Cutting off the resonator and part of the airbox would do the same thing as a Short Ram? I thought part of the benefit was from the aluminum piping.

dude two exact cars but one with short shifter and one without, it will not make a difference, in that situation it would just be the drivers skills i see people that shift for shit and some that can shift oh so craftly so fuck a short shifter

hey if you don't want a whole lot of power and you have a reasonable low mileage engine, you could strap a vtec head on, i'm not saying it's the best of ideas but just letting you know it's possible and for you it'll prolly only cost $200 since you already have mpfi. but i agree about the shifter it's preitty decent as is but it's your choice, one piece of advice i have heard is test drive a miata, they have some of the best stock shifters around and then decide if your happy w/ your stock shifter.

I still have to short shift mine. I definitely rate them. So you can shift good or bad, either way the short short shifter will let you shift better. I drove a Peugeot 306GTi6, dream of a box in that, the shift was SO tight, very yummy, very good for snapping gears cornering etc, short shifts are yummy.
