Std????

What does STD stand for? I cant figure it out, I have been racking my brain and I feel so dumb, but I figure you guys know how to inform without making me feel stupid. So yeah...thanks....

standard being what, standard as in manual or what. I dont get it, ive never even heard of it before i got on here

standard as in the standard model. doesnt even deserve a designation. base model.

STD was a model for the 88-91 civic hatchbacks.they came with 4spd manual,70 hp ,and DPFI.They are slower than HF'S.

only the 88-89 STD has the HF style manifold. 90-91 has a normal DX 4-1 manifold.

its actually depressing being in a 90-91 std, they are so slow!!!!

they shoulda just called it the CX like they do in canada eh ... STD sounds so dirty :cwm27:

it was funny, when i called the dealership they were like, do u have an std? i was like :confused: u talkin about the car.. must be hehe, then i was like, yup, its a CX
its weird tho, i dont have a 4 speed tranny... i got a 5 speed, i dunno cuz on the ownership it says CX, its an 89 and i dont have the HF Manifold... wish i did tho, i want boost :bigthumb:
