Hi to all,
I have a ford taurus 2000 v6 3.0 L and it stall and wont start all the time.Have it scanned and no trouble codes. When it stalls the radio give no sound but is still on,can see clock, tuner display but no sound.Replace already ignition switch but still the same.No anti theft blinking or flashing. After some try with ignition on and off and got the anti theft blinking for short time and then go off it will start. It can stay idle for long period with no stall. When rpm reaches 2000 or higher it stall and wont crank again.
thanks
One more thing. With igniton on no radio sound in park or neutral. When move shifter to reverse or drive i got radio sound.

There have been several folks with a variety of model years of Taurus that have had issues with the Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) causing various electrical system issues. Based on your last sentence above, that seems like a likely cause of the issues you're experiencing as well.
Regarding the ignition switch, did you definitely replace the ignition switch, or the ignition key cylinder?

Hi Rod,
The ignition switch itself.
