what kind of civic are you getting? 88-91, 92-95 are all good years to start out with. not becuz of their engines but becuz they are cheap, have a lot of aftermarket parts for them, and are obd-0 and obd-1. it seems like you have a lot to learn about civics though. but thats wat these forums are for.

what year are you getting?...maybe get an 99-00 SI...the b-series are awesome engines to start the build up especially the b16...if you want to go for the 92-95 gen 5 civics...they are sohc but dont waste money on basic bolt-ons...just build the engine with some forged pistons and rods and maybe sleeve it real nice and get some turbo...trust me...if you want to hook it up real good...just do that...boost...its the best way to go if you dont wanna spend 5 g's on a type R swap and you'll still be faster than a "R"

This sounds more like you're looking for exterior mods than for adding forced induction. I'm moving this to the "Exterior" forum.

Well...decals are cheaper, but don't go overboard. A custom paint job one solid color can cost anywhere from $300 to $2000 or more depending on what color you get and where you get it done. A custom paint job with more than one color and design can be anywhere from $1500 on up depending on the same things and the design you get.
