What's the word on the engine? Tamiya R1 kit 13B turbo? AMT 280ZX Turbo L28? Tamiya or Aoshima R32GTR RB26DETT? Tamiya VG30DETT?
Wow. There's a lot of turbo engines you could cram beneath that little bonnet.
Anyways, it'll be sweet when it's done.

looks cool so far.
A tip on the cage, if your local hobby store carrys styrene tubing, there is some tubing that has like aluminum wire in it, i used this to make the cage for my turbo mustang, and with the wire inside it, it makes it real easy to bend and form to the shape of the interior.
btw..i notice you have the wheels i have on my mustang :iceslolan

Awesome! :bigthumb: :bigthumb: :bigthumb:
Screw putting an import engine in this, cram a 351 supercharged Chevy in there! It's been done countless times to various Datsuns and it makes them go so hard you wouldn't believe it! Even though it's only a model, it would still look matching to have a big chrome blower out the bonnet, how about the Funny cars blower :naughty: ?
I hope your going to finish that Impala to the right when you do this Datto! Top work

Cool project! I've always loved Revell's old 510 kit. I've got two original kits and one or two reissues and I definitely want to do one as the BRE Trans Am car. But I also want to do a tuner! Maybe a 300ZX twin turbo V6!! maybe shorten the wheelbase on a Z-car and put the whole thing under that 510 body! Also, a detuned racer for the street would make an interesting project as well!! Keep us up to date on your L'il Datsun!!
