Transmission issue

So, I just drove to the store in my 08 T&C. When turning left from a stop i heard something that sounded like something was rubbing in the engine compartment. I heard it 3 times before pulling up in front of my house. When I went to put the van into reverse to get close to the curb nothing happened initially when I pull the shifter to R, then with a loud thunk it dropped in hard and lurched me back. Recently out of work I don't have 2k to replace the tranny. Any suggestions? I did the turn the key on and off 3 times to look for codes but none were displayed...please help.Thanks!

Did you check and inspect all mounts and bolts it might be as simple as that.. Good luck..

I replaced the broken ground strap and added 1/2 qt. ATF +4. I got it to move about 3 ft in reverse before it slipped into Neutral...In drive it slipped into Neutral after about 2 seconds. I found a small leak from behind the sound cover that covers the solenoid. What is the best way to remove the sound cover without breaking the clips that hold it on? Any Help would be greatly appreciated.:banghead:
