i just bought a 96 eclipse gs-t... and after buying it it started to lose power and regain it (it did this real fast making a very jerky obnoxious ride) the car basicly jerks forward real hard then slows then lurches forward again, i was told it is my spark plugs and wires but after replacing those theirs no diffrance... this only usually happense under hard acceleration, wtf is wrong with my car???

I belive the bucking is due to either the CPS (crank Position sensor), The CID (can position sensor) or you have oil in your skark plugs witch means a cracked valve cover or something of the sort.

Im not shure about dsm's ahving this problems but i know for other cars it was either the CPS or CID. these are cheap parts and my dad my brother and I replaced them on his SHO so you should be able to replace them. I sugjest asking this on a DSM only forum to get better help
