ok i don't have any pics but i'm gonna try to describe this to the best of my ability. i have tokico blue shocks that i'm installing into my 93 civic. i already did the front ones but the back ones are giving me hell. in the front ones they have the little allen wrench hole to hold it while you take off the nut so the rod won't spin with it. but the back ones are just flat. they don't have the allen wrench thing. i tried using a vice grip to hold it but its just ripping at it. a friend of mine said just to cut it off but i don't know about that. and i don't want to have to go buy an impact wrench. is there anything that is stronger or that can hold it so the rod won't spin. cuz vise grips are crap. thanx in advance

I feel you on this one. Honda/Acura sure fucked up there. Thats stupid, an allen wrench, it strips within 5 seconds. Bastards... Anyways, I had to cut one of mine. Also, make sure there is noooooo pressure on the top, its a self locking nut, and if the springs are pushing against it, theres no way you'll get it off. Your best hope would to be, just go down to Pep Boys or some place, use a friends car obviously, and ask them to just do it real quick for you, and take the nut off. They were pussies though at my local pep boys and started crying in fear when they saw the spring compressor... little bitches. so I did it myself. Make sure you put some WD-40 on too.

they said they're gonna charge me 20 bucks to take it off. so i'm gonna look at other places to see how much they will charge.
