220 is normal operating temperature. most cooling fans don't come on till 225 or higher.

When it hit's 220F, is this at an idle? Will it go higher? Does coolant fan come on by 228F?

What is the temp when driving down the highway?

Coolant level ok? Check it cold.....does this have a radiator cap, or pressure cap on the reservoir?

Pressure cap yes temp goes up the most I let it go about 230... do you think I have a vapper lock one of my frends told me that I mite..... I primed it after I change the thermal

Not a "vapper lock", rather an air pocket.......if you lose coolant(that's why I asked you to check the system level cold), it creates an air pocket, which can cause a vehicle to overheat.....

If coolant level drops as you check it each day, you have a leak somewhere....

Does your A/C work? With the car at normal operating temp, turn the defroster on.....this should cause your A/C compressor to run, provided ambient air is not below freezing.....this should cause your coolant fan to come on(this is a quick check of your coolant fan).....
