1/24 25th Anniversary Countach

Started this Testors/Italeri kit. I like it a lot so far. Nice details & good fit so far without being too complicated. No opening doors or anything, just the engine lid.

Body primered. I only attached front & rear panels to make paint polishing easier..

Textured to mimic black wrinkle finish. Looks out of scale here, but not to the eye...

Are u planning to change the wheels? they are the nightmare part of this kit.

True ^^ the wheels are not nearly as nice as the Fujimi kit
Might be a good candidate for one of the Fujimi wheel/tire set packages?

Nice work so far. Interesting that this is the italeri reboxed kit. Testors also reboxed the fujimi 5000 QV enthusiast kit. Your engine block actually looks pretty similar. Sure it's Italeri?

Love the blue. How did you end up wiring the 12 point distributor? I know from experience that is a huge pain the ass.

Yes, it is Italeri according to the box. The wheels don't seem too bad except they are all the same width. The tires are dreadful though.
I have a fujimi 5000S that a stole the cooling pipes from. I made the hose ends tho. The distributor is also fujimi, which I drilled a center hole big enough to accept all the wires. I only used the fujimi one because it had a slightly larger diameter. Otherwise I was going to try to scratch something up. I also made the coil & I know it looks horrid, but it gets buried under the fender & isn't really visible.

Yes, it is inspired by "blu tahiti" color. I wanted something not commonly seen, but not a wild custom look.

I could only find one pic of actual car in similar color...

I liked a lot of the features of this kit over the Fujimi Countach . . . Particularly the closed doors and correct NACA . . .

I agree about the wheels and tires. . . ugh. . .

I like this kit. Goes together pretty painlessly. I did have a couple issues with fit of scoops & rear lid after paint & the front signal lenses hit the lights. I sanded them down thin, but wish I would have caught it earlier...
