the car cranks but doesnt start. I checked the fuel pump fuse & its OK. I sprayed carb cleaner in the intake & it started for about 2 seconds. Any idea on what some of the possible causes?
I appreciate your feedback.

Need to check the fuel pressure, If it runs on starting fluid, it's a fuel problem. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? It may be plugged or you may need a fuel pump. If you do replace the pump, replace the filter also.
Fuel pressure should be 50-60psi.

I dont remember the filter ever being changed. If the filter is dirty/plugged even partially (for example) would that cause the car not to start? & would that be the only possibility in your experience?
thank you!

A fully plugged filter will not allow fuel flow, thus no fuel to the injectors. So will a inop fuel pump. You need to check the fuel pressure.

OK. I think it might be the fuel pump. I hit the gas tank under the car near where the pump might be & it loosened something up & the car started. I think the pump either got stuck or is going bad?
