hi everone, i have a 86.5 mk3 auto 2L TT and i am getting a 92 mk3 2.5TT manual but cannot register it so i was going to put all the running gear in the the 86 but cannot find out if this is even posible by droping straight in to my ga70 frame.
Has anyone done this, seen this or a web site with this info or knows someone that has done this.
please let me know as i have searched (net and library) but still no luck
please email me @ tigermoth_ii@hotmail.com

hi
yeh it is possible coz thats what ive done. the mk3 shells are all the same so it shouldnt matter. but i do hope that ur using a 1jzgte gearbox (manual or automatic) rather than getting an adapter kit for the 1ggte gerabox to hook up to the 1jzgte.

Why did you dig up a dead thread? :disappoin To answer the question correctly, yes the A70 series chassis' are all the same, it's rumored the GA70 came in normal and non-widebody, only the fenders (front and rear) are different though. The 1G manual used the W58, the auto used the A340 which is good for about 350ish stock with a bigger cooler, a built auto can handle alittle more. The 1JZ used the R-154, the W-58 (n/a MA70 trans) will be fine for 400ish HP as long as you don't rag on it daily.
