There doesn't seem to be one of these new kits being built anywhere on this forum yet so I thought I'd post mine!
Having built their Testarossa in the 90's I'm hoping this one goes together a bit better!
It comes in a box that is the size of a Microwave! You should have seen the delivery guy trying to get it through the door!

The engine is complete, just needs wiring adding now.
The 1/18 Aston gives an idea of size! It's huge and the plastic thick so it has a quality feel about it. Part fit is very good.

Very nice start, are the paint colours called out in the instructions? I have seen some WIPs of this on other forums and none were painted, it looks so much better with some paint on the engine and interior.

No colours mentioned, it's all based on hours of research photos found on the internet.
Many many Pocher kits were built without paint over the years, only a few ever get the detail they deserve.
I think a few wanted to be the first to build this kit but I am in no hurry and am taking my time.

Guiddy,
do you have any idea where the parts labeled MT-01 and MT-02 fit in the model
i cannot find any reference to them in the manual

Have you downloaded the latest manual off their website?
I've not fitted those parts yet, what do they look like?

I've heard the factory paint on the body panels leaves a lot to be desired. Good luck w/the build!

I'm planning to wet sand and polish the paint but don't want to respray this one as it's white which won't be released again.

Off to a great start!!!
Question, are all the parts pre painted & (if your doing a simple job) you just screw / glue it all together?

Yes its all pre-painted and coloured. You can build it out the box and it'll be pretty good, but adding further detail brings it to life and what's cool is you can go as detailed as your ability allows.

The engine is all wired up now ready for The upper half like the air boxes etc.
Added some wiring detail to various components. These won't be seen once the engine is sitting in the car but it filled out the spaces and made the rear subframe look busier!

The coloured stitching option on the real car extends to the dash, centre console and door panels and I have tried to replicate that using two lines of Tamiya masking tape with a narrow space between them, then painting on dashes to Tamiya flat yellow.
When the tape is removed it looks like this...
It needs two rows like this on each part.

I've now moved on to final detailing in the engine compartment. It's amazing how many evenings it takes to wire it all up!
I used Halfords paints to create the sand cast finish of the manifold.
http://www.scalemotorcars.com/forum/attachments/large-scale-cars/26262d1394648366-pocher-aventador-wip-guiddys-imag1153.jpg
And then used a metal emblems set I bought off ebay to redo the Lamborghini script after I sanded the original one off. It's super crisp and easier than painting the original raised lettering...

The rear subframe is complete and added to the monocoque.
This thing is huge already and very heavy!
Even the intake manifolds & Airboxes are made of many many parts. Metal decals were used for the Lamborghini scripts.
