I have just reset the BCM in my 2002 Buick Century. Should I be looking for a new BCM or is this something that happens at times.

What do you mean by "reset"? What has been the problem with the car? If you have been clearing codes out of it, then they will reset until the problem is corrected.

Here is the rest of the story. This morning car would not crank. No light, no power to dash lights, normal dings were muted and gages looked like thay had just met a new rock star waving back and forth. When I turned off the key it sounded like relays clattering. Thought it was the battery. Pulled it and took it to the auto parts store. Battery tested good. Got to talking to the parts man that was there and he said it sounded like it was the BCM. He said to pull all the fuses for the BCM then before I hooked the battery back up to touch the - and the + leeds together. When I did I heard a click on the drivers side of the car. Reinstalled the battery and reinstelled the fuses and the car cranked.

Or it could have been bad battery cable connections......by reconnecting it, you eliminated the problem.....
