H ey, I'm on my way into work, but this morning I went to open one of my rear passenger doors and the handle just pulls freely. Door is unlocked and opened fine from inside.. what could this be, and is it something I can repair fairly easily, or might it be under warranty as I have the warranty still..this a common problem, seems unusual to me :-( thanks in advance for any input on the matter!

Ask first if it is under warranty. They could repair it and afterward say it isn't covered.
Now, on to the problem. The usual failure is the inside handle, not the outside. The inside connects via a cable and the top connection of the outside cable sleeve will either pop out of the connector of the large plastic frame or the connector ears of the large plastic frame will snap off and the outside cable sleeve moves with the inside cable so that no movement occurs at the lock. I didn't pay a lot of attention to the outside handle when I had mine open, but they are usually just a thin solid push rod connected to the handle and the lock mechanism. The rod can move out of one of its connectors, it can bend and one of the plastic connector ends it pops into can break apart. So the door panel needs to come off to see what the problem actually is.
