i just got a revell porsche gt1 and the trees are lettered like tamiya's
and the wheels have the tires on them when u open the kit just like tamiya does
i think that revell is tryin yo copy off of tamiya

Believe it or not, Revell has been doing tampo-printed tires a lot longer than most give them credit for. They started doing it in about 1998 or 1997 on some of their muscle car kits so that modelers wouldn't have to paint or decal redlines or white-walls. The best Revell tampo red-lines are in their Promodeler 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. That's a kit that had photoetch, silk screened decals by Cartograf, two engine options (vintage NASCAR spec Hemi or 440 Magnum) with stand for displaying the unused engine, all the parts for a NASCAR conversion, posable front steering, and the first truly accurate rendition of that massive body.
It's actually more of a Hasegawa approach than anything else.
And what would be so bad about Revell wanting to produce accurate kits of foreign (and domestic) subjects with excellent detail, precise fit, and plenty of engine options but at their price point?

I've got the Tamiya GT1 and a lot of other Tamiya kits and I've never seen any assembled wheels, the tires where always kept in the little plastic bag. Or maybe I just don't understand what you're talking about.

Kid is right... wheels are in a separate bag with the Poly Cap and the mesh template.
