I have recently purchased a 2009 ford escape. I have posted a couple threads on here with no luck. We are getting loud tire noise or road noise from the front end of this car. Doesn't sound like a wheel bearing. I jacked up the car to check front wheel bearings and they have no play in them. The car has Michelin tires on it. They have more than half tread life on them. They are a little weather checked, but not real bad. The noise doesn't get louder when turning one way or the other. It just sounds like the tires. Real loud road noise. The faster you go the louder it gets. Anyone else experience this problem? Anything else to check? Please help! Thanks

Rotate that tire to the opposite side rear and see what that does to the noise if any difference. Different suspension problems can cause a tire to wear wrong and make noise. Also a tire can be defective all on its own with nothing else on the vehicle causing it.

With the vehicle on jack stands get a can and put it close to the tire rotate the tire.
If you notice a bulge this will make noise. You can also rotate front to back.
