Tamiya Ferrari F2000

Found these pages looking for car modeling web sites. I've been away from the hobby for quite a while. I did not have any place to permanently set up a work table but now I do. I got a bunch of stuff out of boxes that had been sitting 1/2 finished for 9 year!

Got this one done just last week.

Ferrari F1-2000 Japanese GP. S27 Front wing, F1 Specialties Decals (sad to discover that Norm passed). Still needs some clean up as the front wing is not quite right. Paint looks much better in the photos than in person. It was a custom color mix....I think...and I was not up to stipping the whole thing and repainting so I left it and just tried to clean up the bad spots.

Used some tubing on the exhaust exit in lieu of trying to putty and sand the inside as the Tamiya part is a two piece affair

Nice carbon detailing too :)

It looks very good. I like the cf decal on the suspension and the attention to detailing the steering wheel (so important these days).

With you building the F2000 in 1/43, it will be cool to see them next to each other!
