Laws On Doors Removal

I use my 93 Tracker mainly for off-road use, but have noticed all the Jeeps running around in Michigan, and everywhere for that matter with the doors off...

The question is even though my Geo was not manufactured with "removable doors" like the Jeep, is it illegal to cruise on public roads with mine still off...? Does anyone know?

The thing has to be manufactured that way in order to drive on publc roads without doors. It stinks I guess, but that is the law according to the Michigan State Police. Look into fabricating an arm that hinges across, call it a door... and off you go!
