Hi all. The issue I am having is most likely with my rear brakes. When i put my vehicle in reverse in the morning it feels like i am pushing against my brakes for a few seconds and when i don't drive it for a few days its almost as if I have to crack them loose. I would not be driving it even if i didn't have to. Here are some of the other symptoms, the emergency brake pedal is really stiff, the front of the brake fluid reservoir drains rapidly, and sometimes the pedal will travel the first half with nothing happening, but not all of the time. I am just looking for an idea of what the problem could be before decommissioning my truck for a few days. It's hard to get work done in this wonderful Wisconsin winter we are having. Thanks for the help.

You may need to replace the emergency brake cable. You need to get the truck inside dried off and use a flashlight and inspect the brake lines for leakage. Also look for stains around the brake booster.

if after the vehicle sits for a while the brake pedal drops too low you have a leak also the fluid level drops. leak for sure. could be anywhere ..
