ive put an order in for a new engine, and im rounding up everything im gonna need for the install, cause i want it all put in by the shop. heres what im ordering so far.

-new sr intake(im assuming h22 ones are bigger than what i have now)
-crower stage2 cams(stock idle lobe)
-crower springs & retainers
-dc ceramic header
-skunk2 cam gears
-apex controller

ill be getting the skunk2 intake manifold when it comes out in a couple months, and also some kind of ignition, dont know what yet. is there a good place i can send my ecu to be reprogrammed? i checked hondata and they have a s200 listed for usdm h22's, will it work just the same with jdm? if not, what is a good ecu i can buy... are those i see sold on ebay real?

I'm just finshing up my H22 swap, i wish i could have gotten all those parts you got. I'm not sure about the jdm being different than the usdm but i would doubt there is much difference if any. Just want you to know you will need a new power steering hose and new driver sider engine mount which is another $250 all together. It would be safe to replace all the seals and water pump and timing belt while the motor is out also. Just want to let ya know so you have enough money to do it and keep your motor running for a long time. good luck

im not really sure whats included, but the shop im going to has done them before, and they told me $850 for installation. and that includes shifter, clutch pedal and all... btw, that cost includes conversion. im assuming that is the total price and they already know everything thats involved.

and yea thanks for reminding me about the pump, etc. i almost forgot to include that into the money i need to have. good thing those parts are cheap, and since the motor is already out, installation should be cheap if not free.

have you taken your car to the track or get it dynoed yet? ive heard 1/4 times from low 15's to high 14's. im not sure how much it will help but i wanted to be at least mid to low 14's. im kinda hopin to be around 250 at the crank. i dont think thats too far off of a possibility. on skunk2's site they dynoed an itr stock and then with stage1/intake manifold for a 23hp gain to the wheels.

but who knows. ill have the final figures within a month after i get it dyno tuned. of course the manifold will have to wait a while... oh well

yeh the shop might have the parts included just want ya to be prepared just incase they dont include those parts. sadly my motor isn't all hooked up yet but should be soon so i can't report on how fast it is. it looks faster though lol.

Glad to hear you finally took the plunge!!! H Double Duece style!!! Screw the power steering man, you don't need it, nor do you need AC or the cruise control, tell them fags to take that shit off, it will only slow you down.. I'm running 14.2 now with all that shit gone. I have an STR intake manifold and throttle body on the way and this may infact break us into 13's.. We'll see.. By the time I boost it and throw a bottle on there we should be in the 12's easy... As far as the ECU, I went through JET Performance and I have nothing but good things to say about. It cleaned up alot of the lag, as it has a more agressive fuel map.. If I were you I would wait to put it in until you upgrade the internals, ie piston rods, shit like that as it will be a pain to take out the engine later just to do those few simple things. Also upgrade your clutch while you got everything on the floor, makes it a hell of a lot easier to do. If you don't upgrade the clutch at least make sure that while its on the floor you change out the Rear Main Seal, trust me on this.. I spent all of Friday replacing mine.. I never thought of it while the engine was on the floor. I jacked up the car this past Friday to put some more neons on, and oil gushed out of the tranny.. So I had to pull the transmission and sure enough the Rear Seal went out.. Thank God I caught it in the garage, cause who knows my engine may have been dessimated a day or two later.. But hey if you got any questions email me... [email protected]
Take Care man, and hope everything tunes out the way you want!!

Peace!

thanks man. seems like only yesterday it was just a thought. i actually went to the shop thatll be doing the work, and the owner explained it all very well. he's going to be doing the junkyard shopping for me. but he said most likely he wont need to. the guy he buys motors from gets them from front clips.

ive also finalized what ill be getting, and it should all be done within a week, hopefully, i have to get it done around my work schedule. and i also have a hookup with internals. a friend knows someone at a shop thats a skunk2 dealer. so ill be getting stage2 cams, dual springs, titanium retainers and cam gears for a grand. and theyre also going to chip the ecu to match.

except for port&polish all i need is an intake manifold. hows that str doing? were there any probs with the installation? i dont remember where, but for some reason i remember hearing bad things about those. but i could be imagining things. ill be sure to post picks of the install and the dyno tuned run after i get it. the guy does clean work and it only takes him two days.

oh, and about the a/c and ps. i might do away with one, but there no way in hell i can get rid of the a/c. i cant be driving around in this weather without it, cali is too damn hot.
