Does anyone know a company that makes resin or metal/aluminum turbochargers or superchargers?
Or a how to scratch build article?

Thanks,
John

Search ebay. I've seen it B4.

Somone on Af sells his superchargers and turbo kits on ebay.

I'll go search for the threads.

his setup is nice, but it seems its a entire mold with the header. So if your not building a ITR (or any other 4cyl for that matter) it would be useless.

I could be wrong here, but myself im just looking for turbos, not a complete header/turbo setup.

Shoot!
I wasn't paying attention.

You could steal some turbos from the chassis of Tamiya kits.

So far I've seen turbos from the supra sard kit, Kure skyline kit, and even the silvia S13 kit. The Sard and Kure have twin turbos.

Find some spare curbside kits you have from Tamiya which are turbocharged and you could rip them off, I have.

There is a supercharger on this sight. http://www.racinresins.com

The header and turbo are separate, but I wouldn't really recommend it for a custom setup anyway unless you are willing to cut off the compressor and "re-clock" it to face the way you want. Then you get all the extra ITR-specific tubing that's probably useless to you. As it is now, the turbine inlet is at 12 o'clock and the compressor exit is at 6 o'clock which may or may not work with what you're trying to do.

As for the original question, stay tuned.

edit - BTW the turbo used in the ITR kit isn't the greatest if you're planning to custom build a nice setup. The turbine and compressor are a bit on the small side. It was used because the ITR engine compartment is very tight near the radiator. I could've used a bigger turbo but then I'd have to create and include a custom radiator with only one fan. Maybe down the line I'll do a "race" version for the die-hard scratchbuilders out there willing to hack up their kits.

thats cool then. If you decide to make a nice sizeable turbo, ill definetely be interested in buying some. I have a TT 302 mustang planned, as well as a couple other turbo cars, so i definetely would like to get some nice turbos (without having to buy a bunch of kits i really dont want).
