Ever since ive joined AF ive been looking at those cool Tamiya WRC models and have decided to build one. Can anyone recomend a wrc kit thats would be right for me.
I want one that would be easy to build and one that does not require masking the body and doing a two tone paint job.(or little as possible) One that wouldnt require a super complex decal placment as Im not that good with those situations.
Any help would be apprieciated.

Well, considering all of the above, in my view the best start would be the 2000 Peugeot 206. One-tone silver paint (although need clearcoating) and a simlple decal scheme.

I saw this site and thought it'd be good for paint schemes, maybe give you an idea for whatever you have...

I just checked out the 2000 pug and its just what I was looking for. What Tamiya color would I need to paint the 2000 wrc 206?

The Subaru (2001/2002) might be a bit difficult because of the large decals on both sides. The older Subarus on the other hand are easy to build.
Color of the Peugeot WRC 2000? Could it be ts-30 silver leaf?

Yeah go the Pug I say!
A Subaru could also be good too, only potential problem is the flourescent yellow decals which can be a bit fragile.
The Lancer Evo VII WRC is relitivley straight forward as well, if you don't want to be too fussy with the interior white.

Btw the Mitsubishi Evo 5 and 6 are fun and easy to make.. you need to make mask, but I made my first mask on the Evo5 and wasn't hard.. try it ! if it not work, you can always paint it all the same color :bigthumb:
decals are easy

Who told you that? Granted, I don't remember seing TS30-painted one, the ones that are painted TS17 look absolutely spot on. Of course it also needs clearcoating.

My money is on TS17. I suggest you run a search of this forum for Pug models, and see for yourself.

Well, it's a french car so it should be something like: "P-jo"
Well, kind of because the PEU part if pretty difficult to say... it's not entierly "P" but a kind of... with a french accent !!
Ant the "GEOT" is right on with the "jo".
And yes, go for the Peugeot, very easy and God, what a cool looking car ! PS, Don't forget the little antenna.

Ditto.
When you spray TS-30 on the body, of course the color is very chrome, but after spraying a clear coat over it, it looks exactly like TS-17. Beside I do find TS-17 is not a easy to spray, for a newbie. :2cents:
