Need Help Re 93 Camry

Hi,
I have a 93 Camry. The other day I locked the car door, but since then have somehow lost the keys. I talked to a locksmith about coming down to make me a new one. But I wanted to find if the key for the door also starts the car. Does anyone know that? The locksmith did not. Thanks for your help!
