Ok after a whole day of troubleshooting here are our conclusion

- we have fuel

- We have spark

- We have compression

Engine still wont start.

I am getting very frustrated and so is my mechanic friend. Tomorow or monday we will compression test the motor (tool out on loan), and try different ECU's so far we have use my PR3 and his PM6 no avail.

It seems like the engine is Flooding:confused: a few times it cought... but only to dies miliseconds after.

I personaly have a hunch and think it's the cam angle sensor in the Distributor... anyone know if this can be replaced or if i need to replace the distributor for this ?

:frown:

Stop, step back, take a breather, and then take another look.

We had a Renult Powered Europa at work the other month that was doing exactly the same thing.

Had spark, fuel, etc, but would not fire and run.
Turned out there was a VERY small hole in the rotor that was allowing enough current through to show spark when the plugs were out of the engine, but when the plugs were in the engine and the resistance went up it was draining all the current to earth through the bottom of the rotor.
