I dont know but lately Ive noticed that one of the hoses to the intake manifold is kinda ripped internally. The way it looks its like not much can go through it. I'll replace it now if I have to. What exactly goes through the hose? not gas I hope lol. Thanks all in advanced

is it bad to have it ripped? well I tried starting it without it.. and just like the guy at the auto parts store said... it will rev up and down at idle.. but can any damage have occured if I would have not noticed it?

No its just a vacum leak thats all and the ecu can't compensate. I would check the pcv valve on yhe other end of that to it may also be clogged.

OK I had this hose replaced, and after changing my O2 sensor today I decided to see how the new hose was doing and I noticed it wasnt doing a thing. I got this vacum hose from discount auto parts. I noticed that when I turn the car on, the hose squishes, letting NO air through. I try to push the hose on the sides while its like this to let some air through and I notice the car idles a lil different. I could feel air coming through it.
I decided to pull off the valve that this hose connects to on the other end on the bottom (a lil plastic valve, what is it?) and it was FULL of gunk. I ripped off the new hose since it was useless and was WAY too soft to support the heat and vacum pressure of the engine. I put back the stock one and put some tape on it and also noticed that it was full of crap. Well anyway this hose is also useless also because it has a tear and after putting on the tape, barely any air comes though it. Well discount auto parts told me this is a dealer hose. How much would it cost? What will I notice or what would change if I got a brand new hard OEM hose? cuz as of now NOTHING is going through that line. So im driving with a clogged vacum thingy. And LORUNNER, what made you think it was clogged? you were right! Does having nothing go through this hose affect milage or performance?
Just today I replaced my O2 sensor with a BOSCH brand. I filled up from E to FULL with 93 octane Cheveron Gasoline (since I read here its good gas). I used to get around 180 miles to the tank. Will my gas milage be better since im going to fix this hose and just replaced my o2 sensor? (I was running TOO rich and was getting black crap on my bumper through the exhaust) On avarage I guess im getting about 16 to 18 miles a gallon (WTF?)
Thank you all so much in advanced! :bigthumb: :bigthumb:

Thats the PCV Valve hose & its a thicker hose then normal vacuum hoses. Plug the intake & remove the hose until you get a new from the dealer, its only a few bucks.
Replace the hose & PCV valve
The cheapest place to get the PCV valve will be Jiffy Lube for $6.99 or so, the dealer will be like $15.00 or more, part stores like $20.00. The Jiffy Lube valve is not a Honda part but who cares its only a PCV valve. They all do the same thing.
major vacuum leaks & clogged PCV valves will cause poor gas mileage & performance

Would it make any improvment when I replace these? I'll get right to it on monday and thanks for your help... and also getting the exhaust redone next week. Will it help gas milage? What does this even do? (PCV valve and hose)

Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve
Basically what this does is release any blow-by gas back into the intake system to be reburnt.
To tell if a PCV valve is bad :: shake it by your ear & you should hear a rattling or clicking sound.
