My 91 Accord has issues restarting after the motor is warm. Here are my problems and others that discribe the same problem. This must be common. Does anyone know the solution? Here are the others:

i am having a problem with my prelude not starting after it has been running. When I have been driving then have to stop and turn off the engine, sometimes it just wont start. It turns over but will not start. Could it be spark plug wires? or something else. ????

I am having the exact same problem with a 1990 Honda Accord. Would appreciate a reply from anyone who has resolved starting problem as it could be caused by a variety of things (main relay, distributor, ignition coil).
<icechopper26> I have a 91 Honda Accord with a 2.2L motor. The issue that I have and also a
friend with the same model is that once the motor is warm and I do a quick trip, the motor may
fail to restart. It appears to be temperature related because once the vehicle is allowed to cool
(like I have a choice) it will restart without any problems. The engine has never failed while
running. Have you heard of this before? This same thing happens to two different vehicles.

thats the typical Main Relay, its next to your hood release thingy in the drivers foot well area, notorious for giving out and causing the problems you mention.
about 45 bux from your local dealer.

Thanks. You are the first person to second the idea about the main relay. 45 bucks is cheap enough to have on hand for a quick R&R if (when) it does it again.
