update on my old blue std

well you guys, some of you know that i still ahve my last hatch (the blue one that i wrecked in jan.) well, i have decided to try to get a whole new drivers side of the front end (rad support to firewall) cut off and a donor piece welded on, it would be a new car again, considering thats all the frame damage that was done, i have all the parts needed now to began (thanx to "outofstep") i got the new front piece from the old "sx" that i retired after buying the blue std, well anyway, we got the engine torn out, and everything that was in the way out, and the side cut off, with about 8 inches to spare in front of the firewall (just in case) as soon as this gets welded in, i will be putting my fully built turbo z6 in there, which "should" make the gutted std a 12 sec car but im not getting my hopes up on the times, im using my old torn up Si tranny because i just sold the good one to a fellow 4th genner to help him out with his dx-zc swap, anyway, i figured some of you might be interested --Audi
