Need help on buying a used car

I am looking for a good used car. Deciding between 98-01 Mazda 626 and Nissan Altima. Could anyone give me comments and comparisons? How are reliability and depreciation on these cars?

Well one of my friends sister had a 01 altima, it was a very nice car, never any problems, never had to do anything to it.

Check out consumer reports for evaluations on reliability.

Unless you plan on buying an F40 - don't buy a car worried about its depreciation. They all have it and its steep.
