Okay, sorry for being a bit incoherent in the thread's name but this is a SERIOUS EMERGENCY!
I have a customer (very nice gentleman) who has asked me to either find diecasts or build him models of some of the cars he's had personal experience with during his tenure as an engineer at Ford. The first one (one of his favorite projects) was a Ford GT40 MkIV!! The guy was one of the assistant chief engineers on the GT40 MkIV project. He was even the guy who designed the roof of the car so that it was bubbled to clear Dan Gurney's helmet.
Ended up finding him an Exoto 1:18th scale diecast of the yellow #1. His favorite and one of the two cars he actually got a chance to test drive. Cost, as it turns out, is no object to him.
But here's the problem. The next assignment is the Granatelli Turbine Indy car that ran at Ind in 1967. Not the Lotus Wedge, he's got a model of that one. The car that looks like a pregnant doorstop. There's no diecast available of the car (he doesn't want 1:43rd scale, to small for his eyes, he says) and I only know of one kit, the curbside resin kit by Lance Sellers Resin Cars.
I NEED THIS KIT IN THREE WEEKS!!!
If anyone has one, complete, even if it's started, I will gladly deal for it. Please, I tried contacting Lance Sellers Resin Cars. They have no website, no one carries their stuff, and they have no listed phone number. I know I should post this in the classifieds, but I am DESPERATE!
Any help would be ultra-appreciated and I promise a fair price for the kit.
Thanks in advance.
