can't say i like the wood-grain, but a sweet car none-the-less. the people across the street from me must have just struck it rich, because they just, within the last month, upgraded their Accord and Sunfire to a silver M5 and a Porsche Boxster S.
the cars you detail - do you get to drive them at all, or are they dropped off at your place and picked up again?

It really just depends. there are a few who we have been doing business with long enough so that they trust us, we just pick up their cars and return them when done. Others just have too many cars that it would be silly to pick them all up, and new customers aren't quite that trusting.

I got this job by just starting my own detailing company. We just got our customers by putting our business cards on only the really nice cars that we see around town. We did that S430 because he works with another one of our customers and he recommended us to them.
Now if it will just stop raining

Just depends on what we do and the size of the car. The guy with the S55 has a ton of cars so we just charge him by the hour.

For our other customers we usually end up getting 15-20 and hour but we just charge him 10 an hour because he gives us a lot of business.

Any tips on how to get something liek that started? I'm looking for a job and wouldn't mind that at all. Do you clean the entire car (Interior and exterior)?
Maybe this calls for a PM

All we did was decide that we wanted to start a washing and detailing business. Then we made business cards and also a larger price sheet. Deciding on a price is probably one of the hardest things you'll have to do. Then we just went to the Malls and all the business offices that we could find and put our business cards on only the really nice cars. Another hard thing to do is having the patience for business to pick up, but we started our business in the middle of winter so a delay was expected. I've found that most people call about a month after they get the card on their car, although some people do call right when they get it. This link (http://www.meguiars.com/product_showroom/showroom_template.cfm) is good to help you decide what products you need.
