motor mounting question

Ok tomorow I am droping in the B16 in the rex, everything I read told me to mount the rear mount first.

Now I hear that the rear mount is a bitch to put in.

Now I was thinking, now the rear mount uses a bracket to mount, what if I pre mount the bracket on the rear mount, Then drop the motor and attach the bracket to the motor.

would this work ?

Now I have no idea what this bracket look like just trying to plan how to put the motor in without damaging it.

any imput would be apreciated.

It looks like a t-bone shape some sort. Anyways this is how your suppose to do it. Put on the bracket on your block then you gonna have to line it up with your rear mount which it should be bolted on to your car first. It is a bitch to do but you gotta keep playin around with it till you get it right.

my rear bracket looks like a big U

We do them like this:

Loosen up the bolts on the rear crossmember. Then bolt the rear mount in, and torque it to spec. Tighten the rear crossmember back up.

Then, put the rear L bracket ont he tranny, leaving the bolts somewhat loose.

While putting the motor in, we put the tranny mount in first, then drop the rear L bracket on over the rear mount, then the drivers side mount last.

Works pretty great every time.

I just find it easier to lower it down, so I dont have to fight with the bolts.
