Fuel Line Retaining Clips

Hi,
I have a 2002 Park Ave Base Model w/76,000miles.
I just noticed fuel dripping out of the fuel rail quick connect fuel line. Can I replace the plastic retaining clip for a quick fix, or do you think I need to replace the whole connector and line, with the "repair kit" sold for about $20 at the local Auto Parts store?
Any information on this subject would be helpful.

Not sure how we could tell from here what the leak is, usually the clips only hold the line in place and the seal on the line is the issue.

I just dealt with the same symptoms. Mine was leaking because the steel pipe the quick connect was attached to was rusted. I could not remove the quick connect, even with the correct tool, without destroying it. I chose to replace the line after cleaning up the rusted line. It was a short section from the fuel pump to the fuel filter.

Thank you for the comments. I decided to try the $20 Quick Connect Repair Kit and Nylon Fuel Line to fix the problem. The only issue I had was getting the nylon tubing (fuel line) warm enough to fully insert onto the metal connector where I spliced the tubes together. After boiling a mug of water and rushing out to the parking lot, I warmed the tubing, then I was able to push the new tubing over two of the connector barbs, but I could only push the old tubing over one of the connecter barbs. After two hours messing with this at work, I was able to get home where I put clamps over each end of the tubing and metal barbed connector.

Would it be possible to totally remove all of the quick connect and nylon tubing and just go with the old style 3/8 rubber high pressure fuel line that was used in the "old days"? I'm nervous about only having one barb covered on the one side of the metal connector. Don't want it to pop off and spray gas all over a hot engine.
Could I go from metal fuel line to metal fuel line without any "Quick Connect" or "splicing" of this difficult nylon and plastic crap. No special tools needed either. Just a couple clamps, fuel line and a screw driver.
