Mercedes Resin Kit

Have you guys seen this Mercedes Resin Kit on HLJ, man if I would let myself spend the money. It comes out in July by a company Boraco or somthing like that. Here as pic of the sweet Mercedes

I remenber someone saying they wanted that car and asking for someone to make it in resin...........I guess they will be very happy.

Supposedly it will only be made in limited numbers, I may have to force myself to get it, but I am quite worried about the quality. Being that this will be my first major resin kit as oppose to Tamiya plastics, ya know. What do ya think.

The body doesn't look good shape wise, for that money, it should be damn near perfect. :bloated:

$250....too expensive for me. I am better to wait for the SL from Tamiya. Actually, its body kit looks ugly.:sadwavey:

Looks like an interesting kit, but I'd be damned if I'm gonna pay that amount of money for it. I mean an Audi LM's 1/24th kit costs less and it has more parts!

The first I saw this kit, it was the first day they had it and the price tag was 2.300 Yen. I thought Halleluja, I'll order it tomorrow morning straight away. When I went back the day after it said: 23.000 Yen and I then "hell" :loser: That was just to good to be true. Although I would nearly buy any Merc kit, that's is just too expensive... :frown:

The real car has been out for quite some time now. If we haven't see a model of it yet, I don't think we are going to see one in the future, unfortunately.

I still hope Tamiya will make one soon... I find Tamiya always take more time to produce a Mercedes, don't know why :confused:

Limited production of 150 pieces, $195USD a piece........ I think it is a "on the shelf model kit! :biggrin:

I'd like to see an AMG version of the Merc 500SL. It's the FIA Safety Car (pace car for us 'Mericans). I've seen it in person at the Canadian GP and absolutely fell in love with it.

You mean an SL55 AMG? I wrote Tamiya and asked them to sell both the FIA GT Safety cars along side the road version. They could have done this with the CLK kits...made the road cars also, but I guess they didn't listen. Oh well.
