Engine Mounts

My '99 Ford Ranger 4.0L Vin X developed some knocking noise which was determined to come from one or more writs pins or piston slap. The noise is only apparent at idle and the vehicle seemed to run great otherwise. However, with 166K miles, sooner or later it will need some engine surgery of sorts. So I'm having a shop do a complete overhaul of the engine. My question is, with the engine out wouldn't it be prudent to go ahead and replace the engine mounts also? After all the vehicle is over 14 years old and lots of mileage.

Just as a follow up, the engine mounts were OK. But FYI, although the left and right mounts have different part numbers, they are the same mount, that is the left and right are interchangeable at least from my personal inspection.
