check engine light...?

ok, so my dad took my car 2 the garage lastnight for my safety, he said when he was about 5 mins from there the check engine light came on and stayed on untill he shut the car off, what whould cause this? he said he didnt feel anything wrong with the car at all, so just gimme some ideas of what it could be and i'll check it all when the car comes home friday if it passes safety.

also, i'm still throwing the code for the ELD (electronic load detector) could this be y the lights commin on? the drive was only like 20 mins long...

check all your sensor plug ins..

that could mean a number of things...something could be grounding itself out, or shorting if you will. It could also be the stereo if you have a weak alternator and a lot of amps. electronic load is a hard one to track down.. :bloated:
