stock crank
moroso oil pan
itr oil/water oumo
B16 head

Custome stainless steel equal length manifold with a t3 fkange
HKS 40 mm wastegate
greddy type r bov
custome front mount intercooler
jg edelbrock intake manifold
nitrous express direct port nitrous setup
no injectors yet
no fuel pump yet
no fpr yet
aem ems system all ready to go after tuning
my goal is to have a turbo that will spool extremely quickly for street driving, but can also handle aroung 22 pounds for the track...target hhp is around 450-500 on high boost...any reccomendations on a turbo would be greatly appreciated.....ive looked at a ball bearing t3/60-1, but dont know if that will fit all my needs...im no turbo expert so i am coming to you guys...thanks for any help i receive....

Ok, 22 pounds is a fairly large amount of boost. For that kind of boost you will need some sort of serious fuel management (no rising rate fuel pressure regulators), maybe even a standalone, piggy back systems might not cut it. Anyways, you didn't ask that, but I just thought I would state it, if you've got that under control, good.
About the turbo selection.
In my opinion, a ball bearing T3/T4 hybrid sounds like the best for you. It will spool fairly quickly, but also remain efficient in higher boost levels. The hybrid mates the characteristics of a fast spooling turbo with a higher flowing one. I don't know the exact flow characteristics of any particular T3/T4 as I do not have access to a compressor map for one, but that sounds to me like the way to go.

Hey, tell us how it turns out...
oh yeah, how much did all of this cost you already?
and how long did it take you to put all of this together for your car?

That is exactly what i was gonna tell you to order. The precision sc61 is basically the same as the T4 60-1. I believe it just has the T3 housing. It will spool faster and make the same amount of power as the T4, a very wise choice on your part. And :bigthumb: for the mani

thanks again for all the help....ill try to list what the cost were...
B16 block w/ Darton sleeves: $500 from SpeedImagE in Denver, 0 miles on block
B16 head + all head work : $700 from SpeedImage Denver, 0 miles
turbo manilfd from LoveFab: $500
Precision Sc61: 760
AEM EMS: $900
JG Manifold: 250
all the miscellaneous pieces including stuff like oil and water pumps, gaskets, throttle body, all the little stuff you dont think of until you have to bolt it onto the motor: too damn much
ive been lucky to have SpeedImage in denver cover lots of the costs in the project, they are real good guys.....i estimate that if i had to pay retail for everything it would be in the thousands of dollars.....one thing thats weird is that my hatchback only cost 700.......paid less for a whole car than i did just for a shortblock, but, oh well.....
