Dating sucks

What a concept. Such a drag, that whole scene. Meet girl, get number, go out, try to have a good time, push scoring just so she feels like you are interested, hope there is enough longevity there for her to at least call you back, play games, don't answer the phone, balance calling just enough with not calling at all... fuck it all. I need to just find a nice girl and skip right to marriage... YEAH RIGHT!!

Okay, I'm done. But dating still sucks.

As for dating. I'm glad I'm out of that game now. I should say it was a pain in the ass until about six years ago when I started dating my wife (well she wasn't my wife then, but you get the idea). It sucks when your first going out with someone. Thats the most stressful in my opinion.

I've had a couple of friends with benefits. I can attest to how much it Owns a normal relationship from every perspective. Oh, sig changed.

Edit: as for the dating thing...I haven't done a lot of dating in the past. My last girlfriend's brother and her brother's best friend (now her boyfriend) jumped me:dunno: Now, the girl I'm with is in jail (thread about it also her in stress release).

Dating sucks... unless you actually do have a decent relationship at the moment. Then the moment goes sour and you're miserable all over again. I'm with JD... screw dating. Just get married and get it over with. It's not like any marriages of today will last anyway. You'll just be on a faster track to divorce than someone who wasted years dating their significant others before hand.

I hear you with the dating sux thats why i havn't ever since i lost my fincee. Im enjoying college life (eg waking up hung over with hottie) I have a few girls that i'm friends with that i can also get with so i'm a swinger i'm happy i'm really going to agree with Oz for this. Yeah...I'll agree that dating sucks,but marriage can suck even worse.

ok I am going to rain on the parade here.....I love dating...or should I say loved....go out with ur friends to a club a few beers have a laugh with a group of girls get some phone numbers...arange to meet for a meal....few more dates and get the girl....the thrill of the hunt and all that...the natural preditory(sp) instinct of the human being....its great fun....and to show for it now I have my girl and we are engaged and have our own place and I cant wait to marry her and have a family with her. I love my baby-boo. And it all happened when I least expected it, if you put pressure on urself to meet someone it aint never going to happen. My fiance always had the believe I was a ladys man but it was just the nights I was out and not looking to meet with someone, lo and behold I had some girl trying to play tonsil tennis with me by the end of the night and hey who was I to complain or stop her (unless she was a minger of course!!!!)

Divorce has been on the rise more and more I guess that's instigating fears of people to marry anyway @_@

PS - I forget who/what organization made the statistics but I remember gathering them during sociology courses and family studies ;X

The GAME is too hard for someone who fails almost all the time so i gave up. If they want me they can come and get me :thefinger

But you wouldn't have thought that if it was right. So your being smart by seeing somthing is goofy. Don't get caught up in somthing cause its rough to get out.

The worst part aobut dating is that if your in a relationship, you know there is a possibility of it ending, and ending always sucks.

Look on the bright side,you date, you have fun, you get to be with someone for a while. Maybe it works out, maybe it doesn't. If it doesn't, move on, remember the time you had, at least you had it. I've had a shit track record with girls but still I go on because things will work out. One of the fun parts is 'the chase'...so what if it doesn't work out? Not the end of the world. Get over it, move on, have fun on the way :p

And marriage doesn't always end in divorce, that's just a shitty way of thinking.

When you're in a relationship don't worry about it ending...just put all your effort into it and let things happen. If you stress too much about it ending you will just bring it down.

cynical yes but i never liked dating away its like a hooker but not your sure if you get your moneys worth! now thats a reason to be cynical.

dont think about it to much. just have fun till you find the right one. the only thing i can say is treat them all like they might be the one or be prepared to realize that you had one and let her slip through your fingers.

Well isnt life about having fun! You dont ahve to look for the ONE when ur 18! Just think about having fuN! Friends are always fun! So wat if you dont get none yet! They pay for my gas and food and we still have fun! Privileges are always welcomed! I mean u both end up pleased for the time being! PLUS there are no attachments! :wink:

Thats true. I have the right person. But for other reasons it doesnt work. But no matter how much she pisses me off at times I still love her to death. Another thing to ask is what do you expect. Would you rather love or be loved. I know it seems like they go hand in hand, but sometimes you have to give a little first.
